About us

Agenzia Regionale Campania Turismo

Campania has rightfully earned its place among the leading destinations for conference tourism in Italy. This is confirmed by the 2024 report from the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). The prestigious ranking highlights the increase in international events, the expansion of infrastructure, and the growing interest from operators and planners in recent years.

Naples, in particular, has entered the top 60 destinations worldwide for international events—a result that reflects an ongoing transformation, not only in the regional capital but throughout the entire region: stronger infrastructure, specialized services, and a renewed focus on the value of professional hospitality.

The Campania Tourism Agency is working in this direction: building connections, supporting those who choose the region for their events, and aligning public and private resources. Not by offering simple packages, but by listening. Not through slogans, but by providing tangible tools for institutions, professionals, companies, DMCs, and PCOs. Our strength lies in a comprehensive vision: enhancing the region in all its diversity by integrating various resources into a coordinated, supply-chain-oriented system.

In Campania, events do not adapt to the territory. It is the territory that shapes itself around the event, offering real, feasible, and coherent opportunities. Each area has something unique to offer: a network of small and mid-sized cities ready to host, an authentic inland for off-the-beaten-path experiences, and a well-known coast that still has the power to surprise.

THE TERRITORY

Destination Campania

You can't remain neutral in front of Campania. It’s a land that captures you, overwhelms you, and stays with you. It’s not just a destination—it’s a revelation, a living laboratory of emotions, culture, and wonder, capable of shining a spotlight on every event.

There isn’t just one way to experience Campania. And it’s precisely this richness of perspectives that makes the region so compelling for the meeting industry. In just a few kilometers, you move from some of the world’s most iconic coastal landscapes to inland areas still untouched by mass tourism—yet rich in space, identity, and stories.

The Sorrento-Amalfi Peninsula, a symbol of elegance and beauty, stands alongside the villages of Cilento—quieter, yet no less powerful—perfect for immersive formats. The islands of Ischia, Capri, and Procida, as well as the Phlegraean Fields, offer settings that are both intimate and international. The mountainous areas of Irpinia, Sannio, and Matese welcome those in search of depth, authentic connections, and a slower pace. And then there are the art cities—not only Naples, but also Caserta, Benevento, and Salerno—each with its own soul and event spaces, where cultural heritage meets innovation.

Why Campania

  • A TIMELESS HERITAGE

In Campania, time hasn’t stood still—it has left traces. Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum, and the Royal Palace of Caserta are not just archaeological sites or monuments; they are living fragments of civilizations that continue to question and inspire the present. These are places where ancient heritage is not a museum, but an active, walkable space—capable of hosting contemporary events and visions. It’s a heritage that doesn’t ask for admiration, but for participation.

  • ICONIC SETTINGS

Campania is a mosaic of landscapes, each speaking a different language. The cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, the gentle curves of Cilento, the tranquility of islands and villages, the strength of the inland mountains, the light reflecting off volcanic lakes—each setting has its own rhythm and presence. These are not postcard-perfect backdrops; they offer narrative depth, flexible contexts, and authentic identities. Perfect for events that aim to leave a mark.

  • FLAVORS AND TRADITIONS

Here, cuisine is not folklore—it’s collective memory. From pizza to Gragnano pasta, from buffalo mozzarella to Cilento figs, from Sannio wines to the rustic dishes of Upper Irpinia, every flavor tells the story of a landscape and its people. In Campania, food and wine are a form of dialogue—between generations, between territories, between those who arrive and those who welcome. It’s an experience that goes far beyond the plate.

  • HOSPITALITY AND PASSION

Hospitality in Campania is not a strategy—it’s second nature. Whether it’s an international conference or a small corporate gathering, the quality of human connection makes all the difference. From seasoned professionals to local producers, from technicians to restaurateurs, the people of this region work with genuine commitment. It’s not just about welcoming—it’s about taking part.

  • ART, MUSIC AND CREATIVITY

Campania is a region that creates. It does so in historic theatres and experimental festivals, in ceramics workshops and public art projects, in conservatories and city squares. Culture here isn’t confined—it’s widespread: in villages, in schools, in artisan studios, in reimagined urban spaces. From the heartland to the metropolitan area, creativity is a living resource—ready to enrich and inspire the world of events.

Nowhere else is nature as close to art as it is in Campania.
J. W. Goethe
